Kinesiology Website

The School of Kinesiology offers undergraduate programs leading to the degree of Bachelor of Kinesiology. Graduate programs leading to the Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Master of Kinesiology are also available. Provision can be made for completion of degree studies on a part-time basis or on a combination of full and part-time study.

Undergraduate Program Changes

The following conditions apply to all B.H.K. and B.Kin. students.

  1. Students entering their first year of the program in September 2011 or later must follow the program requirements for a B.Kin. degree as set out in the current edition of the Calendar.
  2. Students who entered the B.H.K. program prior to September 2011 have the option of following the program requirements in the 2010/2011 Calendar or selecting the program requirements for the B.Kin. degree in the current Calendar. For further information see the Kinesiology website. Information is also available through the Undergraduate Advising Centre, room 202, War Memorial Gymnasium.
  3. Transfer students who started their postsecondary studies in September 2011 or later must meet the B.Kin. program requirements in the current edition of the Calendar.
  4. Transfer students who started their postsecondary studies prior to September 2011 have the option of following the program requirements in the 2010/2011 Calendar or selecting the program requirements for the B.Kin. degree in the current Calendar. All transfer students entering the B.Kin. program after September 2011 will need to meet the requirements of the current edition of the Calendar. For further information see the Kinesiology website.   5. Alumni who received a B.H.K. degree from UBC can elect to convert their degree to a B.Kin. degree by submitting an HKIN Alumni B.Kin. Degree Application Form. For further information read the FAQ on the School's website.
