The degree is offered in the following areas of specialization: Creative Writing, Film Production, Theatre (Acting), Theatre (Design and Production), and Visual Art.

Students may enter a B.F.A. program directly from secondary school, or by transferring from another degree program within the Faculty of Arts, another Faculty, or another post-secondary institution. Admission to individual B.F.A. Major or Honours programs is competitive and requires the submission of supplementary admission materials directly to the department/program as part of the application process; see Admission and Transfer.
