Admission

The Faculty will accept applications from students with varying educational preparation: (1) following graduation from secondary school or (2) post-secondary transfer students.

Students entering from secondary school must have met the general University entrance requirements (see Admissions) and fulfill the following degree specific requirements:

Grade 12 requirements

  • Pre-Calculus 121
  • One of Biology 12, Chemistry 12, or Physics 121,2

Grade 11 Requirements

  • Chemistry 11
  • Physics 112 or Biology 113
  • Pre-Calculus 11 or Foundations of Mathematics 12

Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission in the event that the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spaces.

1 For students intending to enrol in the Forest Operations Major, Harvest Planning and Engineering specialization, Calculus 12 and Physics 12 are strongly recommended.
2 For students intending to enrol in the Wood Products Major, Physics 12 is recommended; If students have not completed Physics 12, then Physics 11 is strongly recommended.
3 Biology 11 is strongly recommended for all Majors.
