UBC's Centre for European Studies works to advance the University's mission of increasing international knowledge and research about Europe. Emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach, IES promotes an exchange of ideas, students, and scholars between Canada and Europe, and provides a forum for public debate on European issues through research seminars, workshops, lectures, and international conferences.
