Certificate in Teacher Librarianship (LIBE)

The Certificate in Teacher Librarianship provides a basic foundation in the knowledge and skills needed to work in school libraries.

Admission/Eligibility to Complete Certificate

1. Bachelor of Education or equivalent,
2. Additional teaching experience in community and/or schools with children and/or adolescents is prefered.

Certificate Requirements

Students must complete a total of 15 credits, consisting of either:

Application to Receive Certificate

Upon completion of all required courses, students must apply to receive their certificate from Workday. However, Certificate students are not part of the UBC graduation ceremonies.
