The field of materials and process engineering is not taught by a single department and there is no formal program leading to a degree in this area. However, the Advanced Materials and Process Engineering Laboratory (AMPEL) offers facilities and opportunities for graduate study in the field through the academic departments of its faculty members.
AMPEL is a multi-disciplinary research centre with participation of research groups from the faculties of Applied Science, Science, and Dentistry and strong collaborations with the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Forestry.
