Introduction

Admission to the B.Sc. in Wood Products Processing is suspended effective September 2024. This degree program will be replaced by the B.Sc. in Natural Resources (Wood Products Major)

The Bachelor of Science in Wood Products Processing (B.Sc. (Wood Products Processing)) program will provide graduates with an understanding of wood as a material. Emphasis is placed on a basic understanding of engineering concepts, business, communication, and problem solving skills to produce graduates capable of managing a wood products manufacturing facility. Graduates will be expected to plan and construct production facilities, develop new methods and processes, and manage production control and coordinate personnel.

The program consists of a minimum of 137 credits in-session for all students. An additional 15 credits of extra-sessional work is required by students in the five-year co-operative Major.
