Last day for payment of first instalment of fees for registration and course changes made before September 1. Students who have not paid their fees are placed on financial hold; further registration activity is not permitted, grades are not released, and graduation diplomas are withheld. Students are assessed a processing fee of $35 and interest is assessed on the outstanding balance until it is paid in full (see Fees).
Graduate Studies: Students wishing to apply for Affiliated Fellowships (doctoral level) and external awards administered through the University (i.e. CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC, Canada Graduate Scholarships Doctoral “CGS D”) for 2023-24 should check with their departments for internal student deadlines.

The Winter General Bursary application, available to students online through the Student Service Centre between August 15 and September 15, closes at midnight. Students must be receiving full-time student loans for the 2023-24 session, have their enrolment confirmed with the lender by the bursary application deadline, and must have assessed unmet financial need to be considered for general bursaries. Graduate Studies: Last day for withdrawal from installment-based tuition program for 100% refund. Courses dropped through the Student Service Centre.
Winter Session Term 1 courses: Last day for change in registration and for withdrawal from most Winter Session Term 1 courses without withdrawal standing of W recorded on a student's academic record.
