Graduate Studies: Deadline for guaranteed consideration by the Faculty of Graduate Studies of recommendations from graduate programs for North American students to be admitted for registration in January 2011. Late recommendations may be accepted upon special request from a graduate program.
International Student Services welcome services for new international (including US) and exchange students (August 4 to 22 inclusive, and ongoing).
Summer Session, Term 2: Last day for changes in registration and for withdrawal from most three-week courses starting August 3 without withdrawal standing of "W" recorded on a student's academic record. Student Service Centre remains open for course withdrawals with "W" standing.
Graduate Studies: Last day for submission of exam copies of doctoral dissertations to Faculty of Graduate Studies for transmission to the external examiner in time for November graduation.
Last day for students who hold major external graduate or undergraduate fellowships to apply for Winter Session fee deferments.
Last day for withdrawal from most three-week courses starting August 3 with withdrawal standing of "W" recorded on a student's academic record.
Last day for sponsored students to submit application to have fees billed to a sponsoring organization. Students who do not submit their applications by the deadline will be required to pay the first instalment of tuition fees by September 8 to avoid financial hold procedure (see Vancouver Calendar, Fees).

Jump Start: An intensive academic orientation for new International students (August 18 to 31 inclusive).

Graduate Studies: Last day for =final master's theses and doctoral dissertations to be accepted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies for August 31, 2010, program end date. Must be approved and accepted by 4:00 p.m. Students who meet this deadline will not be assessed tuition and student fees for 2010/11 Winter Term 1.
