X̱wi7x̱wa Library is a centre for academic and community Indigenous scholarship. Its programs and services reflect Indigenous approaches to teaching, learning, and research. X̱wi7x̱wa Library’s collections consist of approximately 14,000 items, including books, videos, vertical file materials, journals and newspapers, maps, theses and dissertations, and some archival materials. While the collections focus on First Nations in British Columbia, they also include contextual materials about Indigenous Peoples in Canada as a whole. X̱wi7x̱wa Library has research librarians knowledgeable in Indigenous subject areas, and is an international leader in Indigenous classification research.
