Subject librarians provide in-depth assistance with searching for relevant library materials, advice on researching term papers, theses, or dissertations, getting started with research projects, and instruction in using electronic resources. Librarians and reference staff work closely with faculty members to ensure that the Library offers appropriate and relevant research assistance and instruction.
UBC Library has services that support knowledge synthesis, research data management, scholarly communications, and digital scholarship, and fosters collaboration and innovation through expert consultation and tailored workshops that support the research lifecycle.
The Library also publishes a map of Library branches on campus as well as guides to its resources, services, and the physical layout of individual Library branches.
