  7. MEDD_V 431 (48) Clerkship

    Core experiences across the breadth of medicine through clinical and academic learning opportunities in ambulatory, hospital-based, and rural/remote settings. Interactions with patients under supervision. Pass/Fail. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  8. MEDD_V 440 (24) Senior Elective

    Senior Elective encompasses 6 months of Year 4 of the MD undergraduate program. Students will choose from available electives between 2 and 4 weeks in duration and participate in all relevant clinical and academic activities associated with those electives. Pass/fail. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  9. MEDD_V 448 (9) Transition into Postgraduate Education and Practice

    Enables students to effectively transition from medical school to residency and medical practice. Complex clinical presentations that integrate foundational sciences and practice themes.   12. MEDD_V 499 (4-8) Clinical Electives

    Summer clinical experience for UBC medical graduates who did not attain a residency position. Prerequisite: Students must have a UBC MD degree and have fully completed applications to residency positions for the first iteration of the postgraduate match in their Year 4 (submission of a Rank Order List to the Canadian Residency Matching Service, CaRMS). This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
