Soil classification, principle of effective stress, analysis of seepage, filter criteria, introduction to shear strength and slope stability analysis. [3-2*-1] Prerequisite: One of CIVL 230, MECH 260, WOOD 276. or third-year standing in ENVE. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
